On the weekend of 22nd - 23rd July 2023 , the team at Koike Malaysia embarked on an unforgettable two-day Team Building Adventure at the scenic Adeline's Villa in Gopeng, Perak. Nestled in the heart of nature, the retreat was the perfect backdrop for strengthening bonds, improving teamwork, and enjoying a well-deserved break. This action-packed event allowed everyone to step outside their usual work environment and engage in activities that challenged them physically, mentally, and emotionally—while also having a lot of fun along the way. Day 1: A Fun-Filled Start in Gopeng The journey began at 7:00 AM on 22nd July as the team set off from the office, eagerly anticipating the upcoming activities. After a scenic drive through the lush landscapes of Perak, we arrived at Adeline's Villa at 9:30 AM and were greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing tea break. Program Opening & Safety Briefing At 10:30 AM, we kicked off the team-building retreat with a warm welcome from our organizers. A brief safety briefing ensured everyone understood the guidelines for the upcoming activities, reinforcing safety as a top priority. Indoor/Outdoor Team Building Activities The first set of activities took place shortly after, with the team participating in a mix of indoor and outdoor team-building exercises. These games were designed to improve collaboration, communication, and problem-solving while adding an element of friendly competition. Whether working in small groups or larger teams, everyone gave their best, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie. Buffet Lunch & Paintball By 12:30 PM, we were ready to fuel up with a delicious buffet lunch to keep our energy up for the afternoon’s adventure: Paintball! At 2:00 PM, the group geared up for a thrilling paintball match. In this fast-paced activity, teamwork and strategy were key, with participants working together to outmaneuver opponents in the lush, expansive terrain. The excitement and laughter were palpable, and it was a great way for the team to bond over some healthy competition. Check-In & Freshen Up After an action-packed afternoon, everyone had a chance to relax and freshen up before dinner. At 5:00 PM, we checked in to our rooms and took some time to unwind. Buffet Dinner & Jungle Night Walk By 7:00 PM, it was time for another hearty buffet dinner, where we shared stories from the day’s activities and enjoyed each other’s company in a more relaxed setting. The evening continued with a Jungle Night Walk at 9:00 PM, an exciting activity that allowed the group to explore the natural beauty of the area under the stars. Equipped with flashlights, the team ventured into the jungle, guided by experienced staff, for a truly immersive nature experience. At 10:00 PM, we concluded the night with some late-night snacks and supper, giving everyone a chance to recharge before the second day’s adventures. Day 2: Caving and CSR Activities The second day began early, with a delightful breakfast at 8:00 AM in the Dining Hall. With full stomachs and eager spirits, the team set off for a more adventurous day. Caving Adventure at Gua Tempurung At 9:00 AM, we ventured out to Gua Tempurung, one of the largest caves in Peninsular Malaysia. The caving adventure was a thrilling experience that tested our courage and teamwork as we explored the underground passages. The breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites, along with the rich history of the cave, made this an unforgettable experience. Lunch and CSR Activities After an exhilarating caving session, we returned to the villa for a well-deserved buffet lunch at 12:30 PM. Refueled and ready for more, the team dove into the Outdoor CSR Activities at 2:00 PM. These activities were designed to encourage social responsibility, with the group coming together to contribute to a meaningful cause. The teamwork and community spirit displayed during these activities were truly inspiring. Closing and Departure As the afternoon approached, we wrapped up the team-building event with a closing ceremony at 4:00 PM, reflecting on the experiences, the lessons learned, and the stronger bonds formed over the past two days. By 4:30 PM, we departed from Gopeng, tired but fulfilled, carrying with us not just memories of an exciting adventure, but a deeper connection with each other and a renewed sense of teamwork. A Memorable Experience The Koike Malaysia Team Building Retreat was an incredible opportunity for our team to step out of the office, embrace nature, and engage in activities that fostered collaboration, trust, and camaraderie. From paintball battles to the peaceful exploration of Gua Tempurung , the two days were filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable moments.
